Tas numeris paimtas prieš naujus metus, nes darbe atėję agentai įsiūlė dar vieną kortelę be mėnesinio mokesčio.

Labai norejau Apple Iphone 3G …

Toliau visą medžiagą VNMPI persiuntė nagrinėjimui i VTT (Vartotojų teisių tarnybą) esančią prie teisingumo ministerijos, jie taipogi paragino „Omnitel“ spręsti šį reikalą gražiuoju ir pakeisti man sugędusi telefoną. „Omnitel“ net nepasivargino duoti atsakyma.

Why youtube is very slow at Finland?

Why youtube is very slow at Finland?  We have recognised that telia-sonera network customers have very slow youtube site download. Sometimes when site is coming, push many many times “refresh” and wow it comes just at the klik.  At masinistit.com forum we searched that problem is bigger when using telia-sonera network, is that possible? one time again: When i push video link like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14Tt6n_jY3A there comes only youtube logo at adress bar and sometimes searc bar and some others but no video screen cannot see. clicking refresh video will sometimes come to play just then…  Also our website videolinks do not work sometimes… refreshing page will sometimes make problem away

Problem is same when using firefox or ie.

This problem is at my home and at my work, both have telia-sonera network and both are here in Ilomantsi at eastern Finland.

TeliaSonera Increases Stake In Uzbek Operator

Sweden’s TeliaSonera announced that it has increased its stake in Uzbek mobile operator Coscom to 94% from 74%. The company acquired 20% of the shares from Takilant, its partner in TeliaSonera Uzbek Telecom Holding, paying around SEK1.550bn (US$215mn) for the shares. The move is part of TeliaSonera’s strategy to increase its ownership in its units and marks a good step for both the Uzbek telecoms market and TeliaSonera.

Ex Georgian Minister Makes New Claims

We are back! (almost)

Our site was accidentally erased from the server a couple weeks ago, and Telia, the largest Internet provider in Sweden, did not have a functioning backup. We have worked hard to restore the site, but much work is still to be done. For the moment there are no pictures, only text. We apologize for this, and hope to be able to restore everything in the near future.

Doubts raised over second deal with TeliaSonera

Even as Alfa Group powers ahead with a deal to merge its Russian and Ukrainian telecoms assets with those of Telenor of Norway, a second proposed tie-up with TeliaSonera of Sweden appears to be running into problems.

The two companies plan to pool their telecoms assets in Megafon, Russia’s number three mobile operator, and Turkcell, the Turkish operator, to create another 50:50 joint venture that would be listed in New York.

But the second deal – which would have given the Russian group operational control over another one of the country’s three main mobile operators – is facing stiff opposition from the telecoms ministry.

The ministry appears to be seeking to build a state national champion in the telecoms industry and seems to be eyeing Megafon for itself as part of a plan to merge it with Rostelekom, the state-owned fixed-line operator.

“There is a question mark over the second deal,” said Viktor Klimovich, telecoms analyst at VTB Capital, the state investment bank. “Probably the most important reason for this is that the government is interested in the merger of Rostelekom with Megafon.”

Last month, the head of the anti-monopoly service, Igor Artemyev, said that Alfa could not pursue the two deals with Telenor and TeliaSonera simultaneously.

In a statement last week to the FT, the telecoms ministry said it shared Mr Artemyev’s position and added that both the Telenor and the TeliaSonera deals would be a violation of the laws on foreign investment as it would hand control of companies “with strategic importance to Russia” to foreign investors.

Alexei Reznikovich, chief executive of Alfa’s telecoms arm, Altimo, said in a recent interview with the FT that Altimo would go slow on the TeliaSonera deal for now.

He said Altimo would not apply for regulatory approval on the deal until a long-running legal battle with the third shareholder in Turkcell, Mehmet Emin Karamehmet, the Turkish billionaire, had been resolved.

“We will only consider such a merger [of Megafon and Turkcell] if and when the situation is resolved,” Mr Reznikovich told the FT. “It is premature to talk about any deal now between Turkcell and Megafon.”

A spokesperson for TeliaSonera said it could take “a couple of years” before the TeliaSonera joint venture was listed.

EC warns Lithuania over broadcast licensing

The European Commission has warned the Lithuanian regulator RRT that obliging terrestrial broadcasters to use specific suppliers to transmit their programmes constitutes a barrier to competition and prevents new terrestrial transmission service providers from entering the market.

Although the EC believes regulators no longer need to intervene in broadcasting markets in principal, RRT does so due to the exclusive position granted in Lithuania to the transmission company LRTC and incumbent telco TEO LT.

The EC has told RRT that the Lithuanian licensing regime for broadcasters is a legal obstacle to competition in five of seven markets. These markets depend on whether frequencies are assigned to the broadcaster or broadcasting transmission services.

TEO LT currently operates DTT and IPTV services, both of which use the brand name GALA, in Lithuania.

Russia – Regulator’s unease at Alfa’s growing influence in mobile markets

Significance – Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has indicated that it disapproves of Alfa’s presence in two of the country’s three mobile operators, but Alfa has insisted it will persist with its consolidation plans.

Implications – It is likely that the regulator has an eye on the state’s eagerness to control MegaFon through national fixed-line holding Svyazinvest.

Outlook – Having established a reputation as an aggressive, litigious player in the Russian telecoms market, Alfa is likely to fight its corner with regards to MegaFon, leaving the state and regulator with their work cut out in trying to manoeuvre MegaFon into Svyazinvest’s hands.

Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has publicly indicated its opposition to the expansion plans of Altimo, the telecoms arm of Russian holding Alfa. Altimo holds a 44% stake in VimpelCom, the country’s second-largest mobile player, as well as a 25% stake in MegaFon, the third-largest player. In recent months, it has indicated its plans to merge its VimpelCom stake with Ukraine’s largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, in conjunction with fellow VimpelCom and Kyivstar shareholder Telenor, as well as plans to merge its stake in MegaFon with its 4.99% stake in Turkey’s Turkcell, in conjunction with fellow MegaFon and Turkcell shareholder TeliaSonera.

Igor Artemyev, head of the FAS, has indicated that the regulator would be “glad” if MegaFon exited either MegaFon or VimpelCom, voicing his disapproval at Alfa’s ownership of stakes in two of the country’s three top-tier mobile operators. However, Alfa has insisted that it has no such plans, instead reiterating in a statement quoted by Dow Jones that it is “striving to follow the process of consolidation in the telecommunications sector”.

Outlook and Implications

* The Fight for MegaFon: It is understandable that the prospect of Alfa’s growing influence over two of Russia’s three leading mobile players is of concern to the country’s regulator, given that these three players between them commanded 84% of the country’s 208 million subscribers nationwide at end-2009, according to IHS Global Insight estimates. However, it is also very likely that the regulator has an eye on the state’s own eagerness to gain control of MegaFon through national fixed-line holding Svyazinvest. The holding is 75% minus one share owned by the Russian government, which in recent weeks has confirmed that it is interested in acquiring a controlling stake in MegaFon in order to facilitate entrance into the upper echelons of the country’s mobile market. While it seems likely that Svyazinvest will be able to gain the 31% in MegaFon held by billionaire oligarch (and reputed Kremlin supporter) Alisher Usmanov, in order to gain control of MegaFon, Svyazinvest would also need to gain a further stake and neither 43.8% MegaFon shareholder TeliaSonera nor Alfa have given any indication that they are willing to sell up. It remains to be seen whether the Russian regulator can exert any prohibitive power over Alfa as Svyazinvest seeks to gain control of MegaFon.

* Alfa’s Famous Aggression on Show Once More: With a cast list including VimpelCom, MegaFon, Alfa and the Russian state, this affair could become a high-profile dispute to rival the recent saga involving Telenor and VimpelCom in the Russian telecoms sphere. It is of little surprise to seasoned observers of the sector to see Alfa in the thick of the action for the holding has forged a reputation as a particularly aggressive and litigious player, always prepared—and at times seemingly almost eager—to fight its battles in law courts. Having spent years slugging it out with Norway’s Telenor for control of VimpelCom—a dispute eventually settled in October 2009—history suggests that Alfa would have no problem in fighting its corner in any potential contest with the Russian state regarding control of MegaFon. If Alfa is truly set on maintaining and consolidating its MegaFon stake, the state and regulator will have their work cut out in trying to manoeuvre MegaFon into Svyazinvest’s hands and some sort of compromise agreement may have to be suggested.
